About The Tom Byers Junior Golf Day
Tom Byers was a longtime member of the Inglewood Golf and Curling Club. He passed away suddenly on September 20th, 2020.
Nothing made Tom happier than seeing Junior golfers enjoy the game of golf. In his honour, we invite kids between the ages of 6 – 15 to come out to the Inglewood Golf and Curling Club on Saturday May 17th for a few hours of games, instruction, BBQ, and it’s only $10. Lanny McDonald, Colin Patterson & other Flames Alumni will be there as well! We ask that you bring your own golf clubs, but there will be a few sets on hand just in case.
If you’re between the age of 6-11 you’ll show up at Inglewood Golf and Curling Club at 9:30am on Saturday, May 17 2025 to sign in. Starting at 10am you’ll spend 30 minutes each on the range, putting green and chipping area followed by a BBQ from 11:30 to 12:30.
There will be a presentation at Noon with Lanny McDonald and the Calgary Flames Alumni to honour Tom Byers while everyone is having lunch.
If you’re between the age of 12-15 you’ll show up at Inglewood Golf and Curling Club at 11:30am on Saturday, May 17 2025 to sign in. You’ll start the day with a BBQ lunch and then at 12:30 you’ll spend 30 minute each on the range, putting green and chipping area and cap off a fun day at 2pm.
We have 30 spots for the 6-11 age group morning session and 30 spots for the 12-15 age group afternoon session.
Kids Up Front and KidSport are also proudly involved in the Tom Byers Junior Golf Day.
