High Performance Program

Objectives & Mission Statement

The key objective of the High Performance Program is to support identified players reach their developmental and competitive goals while providing guidance in securing a post-secondary golf scholarship.  

The Program aims to achieve this through supporting athletes, coaches, parents and facilities through a tiered identification program that provides developmental training opportunities, appropriate competition, parent support and funding for players who qualify. 

Alberta Golf is committed to developing well rounded individuals as well as high performing golfers. The core values of the High Performance Program are inclusiveness, respect, ethical practices and support and ensuring these values are in place always is critical to the success of Alberta golfers. 

In 2026, Alberta Golf has made a minor change to the naming and criteria for the High Performance Program. The top tier, formerly known as Tier 4, is now known as Tier 1. The next highest tier, formerly known as Tier 3, is now Tier 2. The Tier below this is now Tier 3, formerly known as Tier 2.
