Alberta Golf (Calgary) – A mix of sun and cloud, calm and wind during the final round of the Alberta Open Championship at River Spirit Golf Club just west of Calgary. This year was the introduction of a brand new Women’s Amateur and Women’s Professional divisions to go with the historical Men’s Amateur and Professional Divisions.
In the Women’s Amateur Championship Sydney Bisgrove defeated Ellie Johnson by making a 20-foot birdie putt on the first playoff hole to not only win the Amateur division but also claim the inaugural Alberta Open Women’s Championship with the lowest score of any amateur or professional.

Katy Rutherford won the Women’s Professional Division and collected the $3,250 first place cheque.

in the Men’s Professional Division Andrew Harrison said he played the best round of his life tee to green, and despite some putts burning the edge, his 7-under 65 was good enough for a 1-stroke victory over 7-time champion Wes Heffernan to collect the first place cheque for $8,250.

15-year-old Benson White shot a final round 3-under 69 with 4 birdies and a lone bogey on the 10th hole to win the Men’s Amateur Division with a 1-stroke victory over Jordan Gustman.
