Getting Started with the Application Process
Thank you for taking an interest in volunteering for Alberta Golf. The following are things you can do to get started:
- Select an area appropriate to your skills, background and interest.
- Complete the Volunteer Application form.
- Obtain two written letters of reference. They should be obtained from your club President, General Manager, Head Professional and/or club board member. A reference can also be obtained from an Alberta Golf Volunteer or Director.
Following a screening of your application and references, a member of the Nominating Committee will be in personal contact with you to discuss your application and volunteering opportunities with Alberta Golf.
Applications are welcome at any time throughout the year and we will do our best to get you involved in your area of interest as soon as possible. However, applications are processed on a needs basis only and the official appointment of Volunteers, as well as the election of Directors, takes place at the Alberta Golf Association’s AGM. It should be noted that individuals will be required to complete the appropriate screening process applicable to their position.
