Multi Sport Games
The Canada Summer Games are a key event in the development of Canada’s young athletes. As the best in their age group, these young competitors come to the Games having trained long and hard to be among those chosen to represent their respective province or territory and compete for the Canada Games Flag and Centennial Cup. With the Canada Games poised as a key step in the development of Canada’s future stars, Canada Games athletes are Canada’s next generation national, international and Olympic champions. Through a prospect selection model Alberta Golf works closely with its athletes in preparation for these games. The AB Team for this competition is made up of 3 boys and 3 girls under the age of 19 and are supported by coaches, volunteers and mission staff.
The Western Canada Summer Games bi-sect the Canada Summer Games cycle (the Technical Packages are aligned two years younger than the Canada Summer Games ages) and provide an opportunity for Alberta’s top juvenile athletes to test their athletic talent against west. Also through a prospect selection model Alberta Golf works closely with its athletes in preparation for these games. The AB Team for this competition is made up of 4boys and 4 girls under the age of 17 and are supported by coaches, volunteers and mission staff.
