Halpen places 5th at Mexican Amateur |

Todd Halpen of Calgary finished 5th after shooting a final round 74 at the 2007 Mexican Amateur. Todd was representing Canada along with fellow Canadian Amateur Team Member Keven Fortin-Simard of Quebec. The duo won the team event by one stroke with a 14 under. Keven finished 2nd in the individual event with a four round total of 281, seven strokes back from the leader. Please see the press release by the RCGA. |

Alberta Summer Games Team Gets a Financial Boost |

| The Frank Lindsay Golf Foundation has very generously agreed to be a major contributor toward the Alberta Canada Summer Games team. The Canada Summer Games will be held in August 2009 in Prince Edward Island and it will be the first time that the sport of golf is included in the Olympic Games precursor. The selection of Team Alberta is a three year process and 2008 is the second year of the program. Twenty four junior boys and sixteen junior girls will be attending monthly training sessions leading up to this year’s tournaments. Led by a top flight team of golf coaches, nutritionalists, fitness trainers and sport psychologists, our golfers will be poised to excel. | ||
