| Over the past three years, Alberta Golf has hosted handicap seminars to assist clubs in learning more about the RCGA Handicap System. This year, Alberta Golf will be conducting a handicap seminar in each of its five zones. The objective is to identify the importance and responsibilities of a committee, the role of the player and an overview of the RCGA Handicap System Manual. Please see the attached form to register. |

Alberta Summer Games Team Gets a Financial Boost |

| The Frank Lindsay Golf Foundation has very generously agreed to be a major contributor toward the Alberta Canada Summer Games team. The Canada Summer Games will be held in August 2009 in Prince Edward Island and it will be the first time that the sport of golf is included in the Olympic Games precursor. The selection of Team Alberta is a three year process and 2008 is the second year of the program. Twenty four junior boys and sixteen junior girls will be attending monthly training sessions leading up to this year’s tournaments. Led by a top flight team of golf coaches, nutritionalists, fitness trainers and sport psychologists, our golfers will be poised to excel. |
